Beatrice Edith Fenton is a seasoned and dedicated public servant with a long history of service and leadership in Montserrat. With over three decades of involvement in the Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP), she has played a crucial role in the party’s growth and success, serving in key positions, including Secretary and Chairperson. Her unwavering commitment to the party’s vision and principles of loyalty, honesty, and trustworthiness has earned her deep respect within the Montserratian community.

Miss Fenton pursued her education at the University of Derby, where she earned a B.A. in Business Studies. She has also received extensive training in secretarial work, counseling, vocational teacher training, organizational management, and leadership. These skills have empowered her to make meaningful contributions to Montserrat’s development, both professionally and through her extensive community service.

Her dedication to the people of Montserrat is evident in her tireless work with the elderly, the sick, and the housebound. She regularly visits those in need, providing support, companionship, and care. In addition, she is deeply committed to mentoring and encouraging the youth, recognizing that the future of Montserrat depends on the strength and resilience of its younger generation. Her role in organizing the first St. George’s School Reunion, which brought together over 100 individuals who had not returned to the island for decades, highlights her commitment to strengthening community ties and fostering a sense of belonging among Montserratians, both on the island and in the diaspora.

As a member of the Montserrat Diaspora Commission, Miss Fenton plays a pivotal role in connecting Montserratians abroad with those on the island. She understands the importance of a unified and engaged diaspora in driving Montserrat’s growth, particularly in areas like economic investment, cultural preservation, and social support.

In this election, Miss Fenton is particularly focused on addressing the needs of an aging society. She advocates for enhanced healthcare services, improved access to specialized care for the elderly, and the development of programs that provide social and financial support to seniors. She also emphasizes the importance of strong community networks to ensure that the elderly are not isolated or left without the support they need.

Miss Fenton’s vision for Montserrat is one where every citizen, regardless of age or background, has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
